Birthright Citizenship

For more than 150 years, the 14th Amendment has been clear: if you’re born in the U.S., you’re a U.S. citizen. This constitutional right has protected generations of Americans, and it’s important to remember that it’s still in effect today. On his first day in office, President Trump’s attacks on immigrants began with an executive order that would end birthright citizenship for the U.S.-born children of undocumented immigrants and certain visa holders. It’s now up to the Supreme Court to decide whether or not this executive order is constitutional.
