Celebrating Our Raíces y Resistencia for Latine Heritage Month
Latine Heritage Month is a time to celebrate our raíces, our cultural roots that are defined by generations of struggle, ingenuity, resilience, and victories, all met with relentless joy. It is also a time to honor our resistencia, the ways our communities continue to courageously fight, organize, and demand justice.
At the Latina Institute, our roots and our resistance are critical in the fight for Reproductive Justice. We are striving for the human right to bodily autonomy, to decide if and when to have children, and to raise our families with dignity and safety.
This year, as our communities face unprecedented attacks — from abortion bans to heightened violence on immigrants through racial profiling, detention, and separation from their families — we are building hope and power through Raíces y Resistencia.
Double Your Impact This Month
Our campaign goal is $5,000, with our Board generously offering to match every dollar raised up to that amount, doubling the impact of your contributions!
